Can you support our local Co-op cause?

31st January 2019

We need your help to bring volunteers together from the Worsbrough Community to help take care of the Country Park.

We’re raising money through the Co-op cause to maintain the park and look after the plants and wildlife that live there. Sign in to your Co-op account to donate or join for free today here.

About the project

The project will bring together volunteers in the local community who will work together to make sure that this vital community resource is looked after and sustained. This will mean that it can be enjoyed by the 140,000 people who spend time there with friends and family or simply walk their dogs. The country park is teeming with wildlife and wide varieties of plant species that will be cared for too.

About the charity

Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust is a charity raising funds and support for our five wonderful heritage attractions: Worsbrough Mill and Country Park, Elsecar Heritage Centre, Cannon Hall Museum, Park & Gardens, Cooper Gallery and Experience Barnsley Museum.

The museums are at the heart of the Barnsley community and are visited by more than 1.2 million people a year, including local families and children. The museums, which are free of charge, are a place where families can spend quality time and learn together, while gaining inspiration to reach their potential in life. At Worsbrough there is the added bonus for families of being able to play outside together in the beautiful country park. This leads to healthier, more active families that are engaged with their environment.
