‘Great Place’ funding awarded

Barnsley Museums are extremely excited to reveal that national funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England has been granted to support a £1.4m ‘Great Place’ project which will celebrate the remarkable heritage of Elsecar and Wentworth Woodhouse.

A joint project between BMBC and RMBC, over the next three years a programme of spectacular events and activities is expected to involve thousands of local people, including wonderful opportunities for the young people of our two boroughs to participate, celebrate and share what is such an important part of their history.
